Potential Aught-Eight Presidential Candidate

The first in a series of sneak peaks at the potential presidential candidates for 2008. This first one is a long shot, to be sure, but a tantalizing notion, nonetheless:



The Chuckster. The Mouth from the South. The Round Mound of Rebound. Sir Charles. Mr. President. Could there be any better way to round off that list of monikers? What Jesse Ventura did for Minnesota, Charles Barkley could do for the United States. Think of what he too could bring to the highest office: fresh ideas and refreshing honesty, grabbing headlines and killer sound bites, fiscal responsibility and moral irresponsibility, disregard for interest groups and the media alike... and an eventual replacement from the two-party political drone machine.

Plus, we all know Chuck would look sweet with those funky beard-braids that Jesse sported after his governorship.
